Charlotte Lodge and Chapter Leads in Community Service
Congratulations to each member for their Volunteer Work in supporting our programs, and reporting this to me for our Quarterly Community Service Report. Moose International once again has awarded Charlotte Moose Family Center the highest "Superior Rating" it gives. We have received one so far each quarter and Thanks goes to you my Brothers and Sisters.

The Moose Community Service program of today and for the next century challenges people to become volunteers through membership in the Moose. It calls for capable and inspired leadership and for a generous giving of thought, effort and time according to the Moose Six-Point Community Service Program. Counting hours worked, miles driven and dollars donated, the Moose contribute between $70 million and $100 million worth of service every year to communities throughout the U.S., Canada and Great Britain.

Community Service has been an ever-growing portion of the overall Moose fraternal program ever since its inception under the name "Civic Affairs" by then-Director General Malcolm Giles in the late 1940s. The kaleidoscope of all that is Moose Community Service was organized into a "Five-Point Program" in the early 1990s, then expanded in mid-decade to the "Six-Point Program" with its familiar logo at left.

Let me end as I started by once again saying "Thanks To Each Of You" for sending in and participating in different Community Service Events here in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. Once again because of your caring and support. Charlotte has been awarded another highest award in the form of a Superior Rated Community Service Report for this last 2011 Quarter. Thank You! Keep Up The Great Work!

GW McCullough III. Community Service Committee Chairman

Can you believe that time is slipping away so quickly. It seems like just the other week; we were just starting into the Holiday Season. Now look, we are already into February 2012. They say that time flies, when you are having fun. WOW, are we having fun. I would like to take the time and thank each one of you personally for every donation, contribution, participation, and your attendance at every function that you were able to attend. We have come a long way because of you. The contributions of each Officer, both Men and Women, is unbelievable, and certainly appreciated as they each lead the way by example. Without their leadership and yours, we would not have been able to pay all our bills to date, fix all three of the air conditioners; fix the sewer clean outs, and sewer pipes, upgrade our Kitchens Complete Fire Extinguisher System, pay our $2,168.73 property taxes, build the Wide Screen TV Pedestal for our upcoming Super Bowl Party, upgrade both men and women’s computer systems to the latest editions available, both software and hardware, fix the roof leaks, and Whew! I’ve got to slow down, because I haven’t even begun yet, and I’m almost out of breath. We are in the process of rebuilding our Local Moose Legion Committee, and our own Local Higher Degree Council, building our membership in all areas, and getting back to the main thing of Having Fun with one another, and making our presence in the community felt and known. A Special Thanks goes out too Consolidated Press, Tim, David, and all of their employees for coming to our aid in the preparation process of our last month's bulletin, when at the last minute the copier broke. They allowed us the use of theirs, and did not charge us for anything including the paper, ink, etc. GOD is good, and so is Consolidated Press for helping us out in our time of need. Thank You Very Very Much! We just had one of the biggest and best WENOCA Moose Legion Celebrations in Morganton, NC, with over 48 new Moose Legionnaires joining the second degree of the Moose. We are getting ready for the upcoming NCMA Mid-Winter Convention in Greensboro, and going to the International Moose Convention in sunny Tampa, Florida in last week in June through July 4th. WOW! You make accomplishing FUN! Thank you for believeing in me, and giving me the privilege of being your Acting Administrator during this tremendous time in the History of Charlotte Moose Family Centers existence of 100 years in just six more years. The Nominating Committee is in the process of being formed by the Governor, and I thank those that have already expressed interest in being an Officer for the upcoming year. If anyone, that is not already involved, is interested in joining with us during this Fantastic Revitalization Time, and becoming the Newest Member of this most worthwhile group. Please let any officer know which Office or Committee you’re interested in, that we may take advantage and use your GOD given gifts and talents in the Best Positions. Please join and attend the Church of your choice and worship GOD everyday. Please remember to keep us in your prayers, that what we say and do bring Honor and Glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as well as each other! Jeepy
